The ceramics in this section are low-
fire ceramics made from plaster
molds. The clay slip is poured into
the mold and a layer adheres to the
plaster, accumulating as time
passes. When a desired thickness is
obtained the excess clay is poured
from the mold. The clay is allowed
to set, then is removed and com-
pletely dried. The piece is finished,
removing mold join lines and other
surface imperfections. It is then
glazed and fired at cone 04. A clear
glaze is applied and a final firing at
cone 06 completes the process.
